Supporters of locally-raised beef have something to be excited about: Thanks to the input provided in a survey last year, beef farmers across Northwestern Ontario have come together to form a co-operative and new brand of beef, focused on providing interested supporters with consistently high quality beef that’s ‘Raised Right…Here’.
What’s special about Northwest Beef?
1. The beef is born, raised & processed right here in our region.
2. Cattle farmers are working together to strengthen their industry, and bring interested supporters more beef of a consistent high quality they can trust.
3. All farmers have undergone an audit from the Verified Beef Production Plus program to demonstrate their commitment to humane animal handling, good environmental stewardship, food safety & traceability, and biosecurity.
Basically, Northwest Beef hopes to make our region a better place to farm for cattle farmers, and an easier place for supporters of locally-raised beef to find it in more places.
